The 88th graduation ceremony was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The graduates, dressed in robes, were congratulated on completing their studies and wished success by BSU Rector Tite Aroshidze, Chairman of the Adjara Autonomous Republic Government Sulkhan Tamazashvili, Chairman of the Adjara Autonomous Republic Supreme Council David Gabaidze, Acting Mayor of Batumi Giorgi Murvanidze, Minister of Education and Sports of Adjara Autonomous Republic Maia Khajishvili, as well as professors, students, representatives of the government and the Supreme Council.
About 100 distinguished graduates were awarded special certificates.
This year, the university graduated 1,057 students from all levels of education.
As part of the event, graduates of the healthcare field, dressed in white coats, traditionally took the oath of a doctor in a solemn atmosphere.
The graduation ceremony ended with the tossing of caps, a ceremonial cake cutting, and fireworks.
The event was musically decorated by BSU graduate and singer Mariam Moseshvili, the Batumi State Music Center Capella, the Culture Center Jazz Big Band, and a DJ.
