Within the framework of the project “Modernization of the Vocational Education System in Agriculture of Georgia” envisaged by the agreement signed between the Vocational Skills Agency and UNDP, a working meeting was held with teachers of agricultural vocational education at the College “Opizar”. The meeting was attended by Mamuka Gogelia, Manager of the Vocational Programs Management and Continuing Education Center of the Georgian State University, and Lasha Zoidze, a vocational education teacher.

During the visit, the participants were introduced in detail to the specifics of the work of the partner enterprises and local laboratories of the College “Opizar”, heard the latest information on the concept of the National Platform of the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS) and the services of the Environmental Information and Education Center, a presentation on which was made by Tamar Sanikidze, Project Manager of the Environmental Information and Education Center supported by UNDP and funded by SDC.

A significant part of the meeting was devoted to a training session organized with the involvement of the Environmental Information and Education Center: “Economic Assessment of Agricultural Production and Farm Management”.
