On December 5, 6, 7 and 8, BSU vocational teachers underwent a 20-hour training on the topic “Development of skills in the use of digital technologies”. As a result of a survey conducted to assess the digital competencies of BSU vocational education teachers, the need for staff to develop skills in the use of digital technologies in the educational process was identified. Based on this, Eka Jeladze, the manager of the “e-school” project of the education management information system and a guest teacher at Ilia State University, was invited.
The goal of the training was to introduce teachers to modern digital tools and develop their practical application skills in the educational process. The topics discussed at the training are:
1. Artificial intelligence and visualization of educational resources;
2. Interactive videos in the educational process;
3. Management of interactive lessons;
4. Online Lesson Design with Nearpod
The training included a practical part, during which VET teachers independently used new digital tools and created multimedia materials for interactive lessons. The lessons created by the training participants were presented at the final session.
