Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is hosting the XIV International Conference of the Union of Mathematicians. About 350 scientists from Georgian and foreign universities and scientific-research institutions are participating in the six-day conference. The presented scientific reports will contribute to the dissemination of information, strengthening of cooperation, raising the awareness of the mathematical researches in Georgia and the country. The best papers will be published in the international journal "Journal of Mathematical Sciences" (Springer).

We are glad to inform you that the National Center for Quality Development`s Authorization Council granted a 6-year authorization to Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University! This success is the result of the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff and students. We thank everyone who contributed to this important process: the National Center for Quality Development, the Accreditation Board, experts and all supporters of the university.The long-term authorization means that Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi will continue to develop and innovate in order to offer high quality education to our students.

For the ninth time, BSU is hosting Batumi Summer University "Nuclear Security Regime in Protracted Crisis: Lessons from the Past, Current Challenges and Vision for the Future". During three days, participants of the Batumi Summer University from Georgia, Great Britain, Sweden, Holland, Taiwan, Austria and Ukraine will discuss issues of global security, foreign policy, nuclear non-proliferation regime, current crisis and challenges.

In Prairie View A&M University of Texas, the students of the agricultural department of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University`s Faculty of Technology: Mary Tsilosani, Giorgi Kilasonia and Luka Ninidze are doing internships within the framework of the USDA climate-smart agriculture extension project of the United States Department of Agriculture. Students are introduced to the US Extension system and participate in the university research and practice activities. The climate-smart agriculture extension project is funded by the US Department of Agriculture and implemented by the Sectoral Platform "Farmer of the Future" together with Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.

On July 26-30, 2024, the summer school "Political criteria for Accession to the European Union and Europeanization" was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The school was organized within the framework of the "Erasmus+" program, within the framework of the EU-funded Jean Monnet module "Political criteria for Accession to the European Union and the Europeanization of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine", which has been implemented at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences since 2023. The module aims to promote the values of the European Union by promoting the development of research and teaching about the European Union.
