On November 15-16, 2021, the third national meeting of the EU Erasmus+ project
DITECH was held at Telavi Iakob Gogebashvili State University. The meeting was attended by
Lela Turmanidze, Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education of Batumi Shota
Rustaveli State University, Madona Mikeladze, Director of the Centre of Vocational
Programmes management and Continuing Education of BSU and Nino Samnidze, the BSU
Assistant Professor. Georgian universities involved in the project and the National Center for
Teacher Professional Development participated in the meeting.The

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted the representatives of the NATO Navy. Admiral James Morley of the British Navy, Jonathan Lips, Captain of the United States Marine Corps and Col. Stephanie Begley, Attaché of the US Embassy’s Defense met the BSU students of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences and spoke about the defense and security issues of the North Atlantic Alliance.

The Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara has provided Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University with a special birdwatching guide in the frame of the USAID Economic Security Programme. The guide will be of great help to those interested in the field and will contribute to the development of tourism in Georgia.

On October 15, 2021 memorandum of cooperation was signed between Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and LTD International Student Education Consulting Center, envisaging the university recruitment and admission procedures of applicants/student from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Israel and member states of the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf.
