As part of the week dedicated to world Mental Health Day, several events were held under the auspices of the BSU Psychology Clinic E-PSY project. Psychologists of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University gave students consultations on the problems related to stress. Moreover, the E-PSY project was also presented, the aim of which is to provide social and psychological assistance to students through the establishment of psychological consulting centers in Georgian higher education institutions. The program envisages the establishment of psychological centers in higher education institutions.

13 trainees of the short-term Mediation Programme of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University will leave for Murcia, Spain on October 18-29 for an internship programme. The project participants will be involved in an intensive training course on current issues of mediation for 2 weeks and get engaged in various training events. The internship programme is implemented within the framework of the EU-funded project MEDIATS: "Mediation, Training and Community Transformation", in which BSU has been involved since 2018. A joint meeting between BSU and Ilia State University was held under the auspices of Erasmus + Days. At the event, the project managers Keti Devadze and Salome Gagnidze evaluated the progress of the project and made presentations on the results.

A working meeting was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University in the framework of the Erasmus + Institutional Development Project – RURD – Role of Universities in Regional Development. The event was attended by the Rector of BSU, Professor Merab Khalvashi, Badri Nakashidze, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, Tinatin Zoidze, Chair of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, professors and teachers.

The Academic Council of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University has awarded the Honorary Doctor title to Professor Joni Apakidze, Doctor of History, Corresponding Member of the German Institute of Archaeology. Professor Joni Apakidze has made a significant contribution to upbringing of young scientists, development of Georgian archaeology and its presentation and popularization abroad

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is hosting the 2nd International Conference “Incorporation of Child Rights into University Educational Programme and Curricula”. The conference is organized by UNICEF, in partnership with Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports of Ajara AR, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
